I love to read, but the beauty in the photos speak to me. I love that you are so open and honest with your feelings, and with the way you treat these beautiful creatures. I haven't had much to do with blogs until recently, but now I can see that it can be a legacy, and a story for my family. Thank you for sharing this with me! Some horse friends!! Yeah, Amandak - it probably should do just that. When my daughter wanted that first horse, I though, "How hard could it be to own one?" I'd wanted one all my life anyway, and my parents never even considered it, not for a single breath of a moment. It was my dream. My best dream. But boy, was I naive. Work, work, work - love, terror, worry and a great deal of wonder and peace. Complicated thing, having a horse. Not like you can stick it in the backyard. And you really have to have two, because a single horse is a crippled, blind creature. You have to have one to eat while one watches out. But I've never looked back. With all five of these dudes - including Mr. Spunk pants colt who we've finally ridden once. Members of the family. Very heavy members of the family. And Anna - what a delight to have you here.
